Well tamping

Artesian well tamping (also known as: concretization of an artesian water well, elimination of bore-hole water well; rarely called (incorrectly): tampining of wells)- is a complex of events for elimination of the artesian wells, aiming at the protection, preservation of the subsoil.
Removal of the wells is executed in order to protect the water-bearing horizon from possible chemical, bacteriological contamination from the surface.

Definition from the geological dictionary: concretization of an artesian water well - keeping the water-bearing horizon and oil-bearing reservoirs apart, using concrete or other watertight substances. In wells, with casing columns, the space between borehole and surrounding column is being cemented/sealed. Depending on local geological conditions underpin the entire well-bore or part of it. When several column construction of wells underpin each convoy, there are several ways tot pack cementation process of the neck space. Instead of cement other watertight materials can be used. In exploration wells, drilled without insertion of casing convoys, underpin the entire well-bore. The role of cement tampons in these cases sometimes performed by clay (thick clay liquid).

List of documents necessary for tamping:

1. Act of ownership of the land;
2. The artesian well passport;
3. General plan of the territory and situational plan;
4. Regulation of sanitary epidemic security service or of the ecological inspectorate;
5. Order for the design;
6. The Act of technical survey.
